WANT TO TRY OUR TEA, BUT NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
Most of us in the South know we like our tea sweet. Other than that what is the difference between Green, Oolong or Black Tea? Isn’t tea just tea? Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through our tea recommendations for each of our tea blends to help you make an informed choice based on your tastes.
Black Tea is the most popular type of tea in the United States, accounting for around 84% of all consumed teas according to a recent study. When you think of Sweet Tea you’re almost guaranteed to be thinking of Black Tea.
Organic Decaf Black Tea – If you want Sweet Tea but not the caffeine this is your blend. Tastes so good, if we didn’t tell you it was decaf you’d not believe it is!
Handcrafted Mango Black Tea – The mango flavor really shines through with real mango pieces blended into this tea. Perfect as an anytime Iced Sweet Tea throughout the day.
Oolong teas are rare, accounting for less than 1% of tea consumption in the United States. We really like this tea which is classified between a green and black tea.
Oolong Tropicale – Tropical Island, it’s the best way to even try to describe this blend. A light tea with a burst of fruit flavors. Makes an excellent fruity Iced Sweet Tea, and of course great hot as well. We could drink this all day.
Green tea leaves are very minimally processed once plucked from the Camellia Sinensis (tea bush), and undergo no oxidation unlike black tea which is fully oxidized. This is why the leaves stay green!
Handcrafted Organic Green Tea – We recommend drinking our Organic Green Tea hot, by the cup. Sweetened to taste, we like to use a teaspoon of locally made honey stirred in. A perfect tea to start your day in place of coffee. Really great for soothing a sore throat with the honey.
Handcrafted Pomegranate Green Tea – One of our most aromatic teas, we’re constantly complemented on how good this tea smells! We love this as an iced anytime of the day Sweet Tea. Our Pomegranate Green Tea has a nice, light fruity taste that isn’t overbearing and pairs very well with just about everything.
