Southern Style Sweet Tea (Starts Here!)
Hey, we’re from the South. Grew up here, and when you grow up in the South there are a few things you’re taught from the beginning… Sweet Tea, SEC Football and that you better get your rear in Church on Sundays!
For me (Michael Dorman, Founder of Sweet Tea Junkie), Sweet Tea brings back some of my earliest memories of being not much more than 4-5 years old spending time at my grandparents house. My Grand-daddy as we affectionately called him had about a half acre garden that I’d “help” him tend to and at about mid-day we’d grab the corn and beans and whatever else we had harvested and head to the house.
At the house my grandmother would wash and prepare the fresh picked harvest for “supper.” The best part is that she was always ready for us with a tall glass of her home-made Southern Style Sweet Tea. There wasn’t anything better tasting than her Sweet Tea, and even as a kid I’d drink a few glasses at a time.
When I decided that we would start blending up our own teas, I knew that the blend had to be something that my grandmother would be proud of. A blend she would use in her kitchen to brew up her amazing Sweet Tea, and while she’s been gone for many years I feel that we have accomplished that goal with our Handcrafted Black Tea. It is now my hope, that our teas are used to create the same types of memories that I have so cherished over the years in your family.
Never made tea before? It’s quite alright, we include our Perfect Brew Recommendations guide with every order which will have you brewing up the absolute perfect glass of our Handcrafted Black Tea in no time flat!
How Much Tea Will it Brew?
1/4 Lb. (4 oz. of tea) will brew between 50-60 8 oz. cups of tea (approx. 4 gallons)
Handcrafted Black Tea Recommendations
Our Handcrafted Black Tea is best enjoyed as a Southern Style Sweet tea. Simply put, that means make it sweet, pour it over ice and drink it anytime throughout the day. When we say “Southern Style,” we mean to say… enjoy this tea with good company. Sweet Tea is always better with friends and family! Some folks like to add some lemon or lime for a spritz of extra flavor.. this is up to you!
